CPL COURSE DURATION
Obtaining a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) entails a rigorous training program that includes ground, simulator, and flying training. The duration typically spans 10-12 months and encompasses:
- Ground Training: This phase involves academic sessions covering various subjects related to aviation.
- Flying Training: Aspiring pilots undergo 200 hours of flying training, which includes dual/solo flights, general flying, circuit and landing sorties. Additionally, training covers instruments and cross-country flights, skill tests, route checks, and night flying ratings, all in accordance with DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) regulations.
To qualify for a CPL, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English is essential.
- Training Completion: Candidates must have completed the required training prescribed for a Commercial Pilot.
- Written Exams: Successfully passing relevant written examinations is mandatory.
- Medical Fitness: Holding a valid Class 1 Medical Assessment is a prerequisite.
